Project
The fibres aren’t the only reason a sisal rug is an environmentally friendly choice. The process of growing the fibres and creating the rugs also has a positive impact on the environment and economy. Sisal fibres come from the leaves of the Agave Sisalana cactus, and approximately 1,000 fibres are extracted from a single leaf, and the rest of the plant is used to either feed farm animals or produce electricity. This ensures the entire plant is put to use, which reduces waste and supports the economy. Our business choices positively impact people’s lives and preserve a world worth living in.
